Hi,Guys
Is it possible to put Old Tom Morris in TW 07 or 08?? There are alot of old timers in 08. I would like to play Old Tom against them.

I meant to ask if it is possible to put Old Tom Morris from 06 in 07 or 08. Would I need to create Old Tom in these games?

| I have a new PC, i will install TW06 and look at it, i have put a Custom player i made player from TW08 into TW06 before and it was ok ,needed a bit of tweacking but doable,be back asap |

Yes as Argon says it is possibble but the player view needs a bit of tweaking in Game Face.
This is how you can do it:
All required files are in My documents
When you are using XP on desktop go to: My Documents
(; when you are using Vista or Win7: on desktop look for folder: User (;or username).....inside you will find: Documents
Inside My documents you will find TW06 and TW08:
Tiger woods PGA Tour 06
Tiger woods PGA Tour 08
1.Now in Tiger woods PGA Tour 06.....go to:
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06\Career\Players
inside folder players look for folder: Old Tom Morris
and also inside folder players look for file: Old Tom Morris.plr
Copy both (; folder Old Tom Morris and file Old Tom Morris.plr ) and paste both in players folder in TW08:
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Career\Players
2.Now in Tiger woods PGA Tour 06.....go to:
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06\Ability
Inside folder Ability look for:
Old Tom Morris.aia
Old Tom Morris.cal
Old Tom Morris.hal
Copy the 3 files and paste the files in Ability folder in TW08:
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Ability
After that start TW08 and you should find Old Tom Morris
As Argon said the player will not look the same as in TW06.
So go to Game Face and tweak the players view as you want him to show up in game. |

I cant seem toget Old Tom Morris to work in 08. The files in 06 are called Old Tom Morris not Tom Morris. Am I doing something wrong?? |

When your player is named: Old Tom Morris......then you will have to look for the folder and files that are named: Old Tom Morris
I edited my post above, i changed the name Tom Morris to Old Tom Morris ( see my first post above ) |

Some players will port over aka Hogan, Nicklaus and Palmer. However a few were deleted, Seve, Player, and Old Tom. Than you have other players that were added and deleted. For example Mark OMeara and Steve Stricker are in the 03 game. It does seem to me that the engine changed in 05. So anyone from 05 to 08 should be able to work in 08. 03 and 04 not sure about.
If you port over Old Tom he will look like Tiger Woods.
We need someone who has programming skills on this. It is possible to do, but just dont know how to do it. Each stock player has an ID number, that number is than read through the game. (;You have files in the game that are designed for this) From 05 to 08, EA never deleted Palmer so he still works. What we need to do is find the custom ID number and than program that player in to the game. That way you will get Old Tom with his custom clothes / clubs and the rest of the goodies. |

Ok here is a Old Tom for 08.
What I did was used his stats and ability which was set back in the 05 or 06 game as a custom computer player. |

Attributes are evened out online,you can create a new player,chose Pro,this gives you 75% Attributes right away,the created Pro player with 75% attributes will perform just as good as a player with 100% attributes online. |
