1913: The Frankfurt GC is one of the oldest golf clubs in Germany. His birth on 3 March 1913 is more than 100 years back. The founders of the Frankfurt Golf Club are individuals from the Frankfurt bourgeoisie.
The most important personality of the founding epoch is Carl von Weinberg, one of the initiators, founding member and patron and first president of the club with a 20-year term.
For the 100th anniversary of the club, the German Golf Association (DGV) awarded the extensive commitment of our nature-loving city club in August 2013 with the "Golf & Natur" gold award: "The Frankfurt Golf Club deserves special recognition in the area of nature conservation German golf clubs who receive the gold certification, "acknowledged DGV board member Alexander Klose our many years of commitment to the flora and fauna in our city forest. |
